    Is it possible to convert rpm packages to .deb

    When using live cds these are the ones I found that use rpms

    SuSE
    Mandriva
    PC Linux OS
    QiLinux

    Here are the packages I want to convert into .deb

    ntfsprogs-1.11.1-1.i586.rpm

    qtparted-0.4.4.rpm
    \"TTFN Taa Taa For Now\" by Tigger in Winnie the Pooh

    Do some googling - there is a program called 'alien' (or do man alien at the CLI). That will do the conversion for you. However you can get problems from converted rpm's. I used them, never encountered problems, but just don't go and tell everyone nobody warned you .

    nope, unless you remaster the whole thing.

    i don't know about the ntfs things, but knoppix comes with qtparted
    Help me getting a Opera licence

    You can with Knoppix and Kanotix. It has a live install option, but all your installed programs will be lost when you reboot. Both distro's have a special program/menu for it.
