Help!! with Destkop Environments!!!
Yesterday I changed my repos to unstable. I did apt-get dist-upgrade and upgraded my distro. Then I did apt-get update and updated my aptitude.
The next thing I know when I restart my comp, I now have KDE!?
Before I had Gnome, but now KDE? Can anyone tell me which DE is better. I want one that revolves not so much on X and teaches me more about Unix through the Terminal. Thanks.

Both GNOME and KDE are full fledged graphical desktop environments, but you can use terminals in either.

DE's? Who needs 'em? My Slackware setup works beautifully without X. This way you definetly learn bash.
Well, I am not like most so Xfce might be a good choice. I tried it and liked it.
