Keyboard probs in Debian on iMac

Hello - Newbie here... Installed Debian on a 266MHz iMac, and everything was going fine - until the keyboard setup. Now the keyboard will not set up and at boot, states that /dev/...4 contains errors. How do I fix this? Thanks

What is "/dev/...4"? Which version of Debian are you installing?

Never mind - went with Yellow Dog - everything's fine now. iMac had too little memory, simple upgrade to 128MB and a little more research. All is good. Thanks anyway
