    desktop icons size


    i installed debian 3.1 sage all went well but after login the desktop size of the icon is big and the cdrom and over hardrives are just big blue (I) and when i click on them its say something like can not open hdr1 and same for the other ones aswell . i have checked the screen res and it is set at 1200x760 thats the smallest there next is 800x600 is there anyway to make the icon on the desktop smaller?

    plus is there way to make the task bar at the bottom and not the top

    ?

    What window manager are you using? KDE, Gnome, Xfce, Fvwm?

    it sounds like gnome... if it is theres a choice that lets u scale icons
