hey i want to know how to SKIP installing any bootloader during kubuntu installation...
i mean what option do i type at the " boot:" prompt.........

hey i want to know how to SKIP installing any bootloader during kubuntu installation...
i mean what option do i type at the " boot:" prompt......

Just type 'expert' and then either choose not to install a bootloader when that stage of the install appears, or choose to place it in Kubuntu's root (or /boot if you made a separate partition for that path) partition. This way it won't affect your present configuration.
It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

ok i already ve winXP installed at the start of my hdd...
so when i partition my hdd ( the last 16Gb are unallocated) do i set the boot flag of /boot ON or not???
also if i choose to use patition magic to create my partitions....do i keep the partitions in those last 16GB as Primary or logical??? cuz my c: wheer windows is installed is primary....
- 08-13-2005 #4If you aren't going to be using Kubuntu to manage your multi-boot then it doesn't matter. Just leave it off.
