Just type 'expert' and then either choose not to install a bootloader when that stage of the install appears, or choose to place it in Kubuntu's root (or /boot if you made a separate partition for that path) partition. This way it won't affect your present configuration.

ok i already ve winXP installed at the start of my hdd...

so when i partition my hdd ( the last 16Gb are unallocated) do i set the boot flag of /boot ON or not???

also if i choose to use patition magic to create my partitions....do i keep the partitions in those last 16GB as Primary or logical??? cuz my c: wheer windows is installed is primary....

If you aren't going to be using Kubuntu to manage your multi-boot then it doesn't matter. Just leave it off.

Depends. If you have four or less partitions mark it as primary.
You'd only need logical if you were making an extended partition.
