Debian & Flux; Less Apps Shown
I have Debian 3.1 installed and am using Fluxbox with the default style. However, there are of apps that I just wont use that came preinstalled and most are for either KDE or Gnome. Now there is a chance I would use one of those in the future so I am not sure I want to uninstall them. Is there a way to decide which apps I want shown? If not....how do I uninstall them?

You can edit the fluxbox menu by hand. Go to /usr/share/fluxbox and copy the menu file to your /home/<username>/.fluxbox directory. Then edit that file to show whatever apps you want. You'll also need to edit your init file to make sure it shows the correct menu file to use.

Thanks.
My main goal is to not have the apps solely for KDE/Gnome shown. Thats annoying.Registered Linux User #397351
