Ubuntu shown ONLY 640 x 840 resolution
Ubuntu shown ONLY 640 x 840 resolution, while
fedora and mandrake show te option of 800 x 600 resolution also.
If I want to make any changes to any thing, i cant click apply button
as i cant see it.
Ahelp shall be appreciated.

go to the part where all hardware is listed and CHOOSE the CORRECT graphic card. after that, you will be able to change the resolution. It is most probably that Ubuntu didn't recognize your graphic card.

yes i did read http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showpost...00&postcount=4 this thread and changed instead of 1280x1024 , i had used 800 x 600

Cause that's an Ubuntu specific forum and it makes no sense to repeat everything if a simple link can do the same.
