I use midnight commander on sarge ..and enlightenment
I like it very much
only problem is Iam not able to associate the appropriate programs for the extensions
for example. I don't want to pres F2 ...@ ...and type "mplayer" everytimeto view the video
same case for image view
so my question "how can I associate it ,i.e., If I press enter it should start playing in mplayer
I don't use either gnome or Kde so I can't do that graphically

I understood that we have to edit ec.ext but how to edit and where should add about mplayer

Does mc open some other files when you "return" on them, like open Gosthview for pdf files?
