    Debian Install Questions

I'm installing Debian Sarge later today, but I have a couple of questions before I do install.
1.) Where is the GRUB configuration file located?
2.) What file system would you recommend for a new Seagate Barracuda 7800 RPM 80GB HDD with an 8MB cache? I'm guessing one of the newer file systems, but I'm not sure if these are considered "beta" or anything still.

    1. /boot/grub/menu.lst
    2. I don't know enough about filesystems to give a good answer here.

    File System

EXT3, the default journaling filesystem is great, however if you want "performance" over integrity I'd suggest riser (use riser if you raid drives or backup regulary).
