Taking kernel config back to default

I was trying to reconfigure my kernel for the Radeon driver (as per the instructions on http://xoomer.virgilio.it/flavio.sta...installer.html ) and messed something up. Every time I go to update my package list, I get a bunch of errors about not having public keys. Everything I try to get off synaptic or apt is unauthenticated.

Basically, I want to set the kernel config back to the default and start over. What's the easiest way to do this?

When you configure your kernel, your old configuration is usually saved in /usr/src/linux as .config.old file. You could load configuration from this file when running menuconfig.
