    Adding a new apt source in Ubuntu?

    I'm trying to add a new apt source from Synaptic(http://packages.debian.org), but unfortunately I can't figure out how to do it. Can ya'll help?

    The easiest way is to just add the source to this file:

    /etc/apt/sources.list
    It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

    It's not a good idea to use Debian repositories in Ubuntu. You're better off doing this:

    http://ubuntuguide.org/#extrarepositories
