    need help installing netscape

i need to use a java applet here at work, and i want to install it on linux. the applet REQUIRES netscape 4.7x. the problem is when i try and run netscape, it gives me this error:

error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i'm running ubuntu 5.04, i'm still a bit noobish to linux, so i'm not sure what other info you need, but if you ask, i'll try to find it.

well, "libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2" this is a dependancy which you will need to install first, before you can install netscape...you should try to install through apt, which will handle this dependancy for you, search for an ubuntu faq, and you will be up and running in no time
    Operating System: GNU Emacs
