hey im in the process of converting to linux useing latest ubuntu distro, but i cant get internet to work, trying to connect to network at my school
ive tried ifconfig, and then i pinged root, but it said connect: Network is unreachable
when i installed i was not connected b/c i didnt have acess to internet, so i didnt configure eth0 or what ever so ive also tried doing that in root terminal, but i dont know what im doing wrong
tryed somthing like ifconfig eth0up

nevermind, fixed it myself ... now im just trying to figure out how to get a dvd player....says coulndt stat source page.....even when i apt-get update
