ndiswrapper crashing on sudo modprobe
I run ubuntu hoary hedge.. and am trying to get a
DWL G132 usb wireless to work.
dldrconfig was no good for many reasons.
have recently tried using ndiswrapper which worked after installation of necessary kernel headers and gcc, but upon reboot without the card in, it will work fine until I attempt
sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
after that, it just lags indefinately. I don't think it crashes the kernel though, because I can exit the terminal and try again.
But when I try to use any ndiswrapper function (-i , -l etc) it lags indefinately. HAL doesn't seem to work anymore either.
If I simply put the card in, it will not detect it.
When I reboot, its the same story
Also, if I attempt to boot with the card in, the detecting network devices line will crash, ctrl c out, and will continue to boot. After login, it says HAL has failed.
Whats going on?
