    Installing Nvidia Drivers

I am using Linux for the first time. I had a friend at work help me install Debian on one of my hard drives in my pc.

I have a bunch of material to read, to help me learn linux, but right now, I need to get the Nvidia linux drivers installed, so I can fix the resolution and refresh rate.

I have the drivers downloaded, sitting on my desktop. Can someone please walk me through they installation process?

    Thanks very much

Open a command prompt(Konsole or equilivaent app like Xterm), change to the directory with the install program in it, chmod +x it, than ./[installer program name] to run it, a GUI installer will pop up and you should be able to take it from there.
Nothing is worse than ten penguins fighting over which is better, vi or emacs.

Finally I'm back on LF after a long while.
