What do you mean "it doesn't work"?? What error message do you get??

"apt-get" will work better than "pat-get", but I think you already know that

If you really want KDE, why not use Kubuntu?

Here's the fun way then :P - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/InstallingKD...ight=%28kde%29 - I know it doesn't mention Breezy but Hoary's method might work.

Kubuntu would be the more sensible way to do things.

    Seriously.

kubuntu might be the sensible thing ... but then he would just want to isntall gdm under breezy ... and he would be where he started ... i would assume if he wants to run BOTH w/dms he will want to follow the instructiosn listed don't forget to add all the extra repositories! also i think the apt-get is apt-get install kdm (not kde)

to convert your ubu to kubu, do a -remove ubu-desk, gdm.
then install kdm and -install kubu-desk...
