    I have an ipod I used to use on my mac. I am now running Ubuntu and was wondering if there is a way to rip the songs off of my ipod onto linux

    I'm using suse9.3, and when I plugged my ipod (formatted for windows if that's important) into my computer it recognised it as an ipod and mounted it in a way that allowed me to drag and drop all the music files into my home folder.

    Since you're using a debian system, I'm sure there are program's you can get from apt to enable this.
