how to get again desktop panel

    hai

    i'm new to linux.
    and i,m using mepis Linux.
i use the shortcut key(CTRL+ALT+ESC) to forcely kill a process.
but misfaultly i click the mouse pointer (skull face) on the desktop panel.
after that the desktop panel has ended.
i get it again when i again restart/login.

is there any way to run the process without restarting.

    advance thanks

Firstly are you using kde or gnome, if kde, simply right click on desktop and select "run command" or open up a terminal, then enter "kicker" (without quotes).

Since I don't know the name of the gnome panel, I can't help you there, but if you try entering its name it might run.
Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.

    If I'm not mistaken, it's "gnome-panel".
