    Getting these sound devices detected..

all right, here i am with my first ever linux distro, wondering o how am i going to 'get some audio playback out of these speakers. ii dont have a soundcard ,sound is intergrated into the motherboad, and i cant find (in debian or the internet) any clues at all as to how to get it setup. i had hoped it would auto detect, but it seems that is not the case . any help appreciated, ill be here all day .

    Try running:

    Code:
    alsaconf
In a konsole window. It will probe your hardware and try to install/configure your sound card.
