    gDesklets don't load

So I got the packages for gDesklets, but I have no idea how to get it working. I'm using Gnome, and whenever I got to Applications>Accessories>gDesklets, the gDesklet Shell screen comes up but is always blank. When I try to close it, it give me The window "gDesklets Shell" is not responding. Is there any other way I can get gDesklets up and running? Or am I just doing something wrong (I wouldn't doubt it)?

What version of gdesklets are you using? Check the bug reports as there have been some issues with some builds. I read a few yesterday when I was also having some display problems similar to your own. Upgrading to the suggested version solved the behavior.

It's versin .35.2, which according to www.gdesklets.org is the latest version. And I have no idea where to find the bug reports, search up and down the site with no luck. I'm just going to assume it's a bug and maybe try again in a few more months.

I'm talking about what DEBIAN version, unless you somehow forgot to mention that you installed the package from source. The SID version is 0.35.2-4 and the Etch version is 0.35.2-3. And if you would search the Debian Bug webpage you would find that it is the Etch build which is causing so many problems. This is why I was inquiring as to what you had on your system.

Oh, OK! Yeah, it's .35.2-3, under the Etch. Thanks for the bug tracking site as well, I didn't know that it was there. I haven't gone to the .35.2-4 version yet, but will as soon as I'm finished with this message.

    Thanks
