    Accessing win XP shared files

    Using Samba I managed to be able to access from Windows the folders I wanted to share on my linux machine. Unfortunatelly from Linux, I can't access the windows' shared.
    when I go: Computer -> Network -> BLUE (The name of the Xp mashine)
    I get:
    The folder contents could not be displayed.
    ou do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "Windows Network: blue".

    Also whith:

    smbclient -L Blue -U USERNAMEHERE

    I get:

    Domain=[BLUE] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]

    Sharename Type Comment
    --------- ---- -------
    Torrents Disk
    E$ Disk Default share
    My Documents Disk
    IPC$ IPC Remote IPC
    SharedDocs Disk
    I$ Disk Default share
    ISO Disk (I) Disk
    Music Disk
    ADMIN$ Disk Remote Admin
    C$ Disk Default share
    Domain=[BLUE] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager]

    Server Comment
    --------- -------

    Workgroup Master
    --------- -------

    How would I connect to Blue? How do I tell it what Username/password to use?

    you either need to force the linux box to use "guest" AND have the "guest" account be enabled on the XP box, or tell the client to use a valid username / password combination on the XP box...
