    Kubuntu Live CD; Menu sizes.

Does anyone know if I can change the frame size on Kubuntu Live? For instance, I am running 1024x768 and when I try to add a static IP I can't seem to see the button to log in as administrator, and it will not let me move the frame up far enough to make the change! Any thoughts?

Just go in the Control Center of KDE, in "peripherals", and then "display".

You will then be able to change the resolution...

Though I'm not sure it will be possible, normally Kubuntu use by default the HIGHEST RESOLUTION your hardware can support...

Vergil83, as soon as I get home today I will post a screenshot.

antidrugue, as far as the resolution I can't make it any higher. I tried that before thinking I could do that and the size of the window should get smaller, but I am not able to. Although, now that I think about it I could probably just open a terminal window and change my IP that way, but that still will not fix the frame size of the window. So like I said I will post an ss of the issue later this evening.

    Thanks!

I decided to fidget with it several times to see If I could get it to work. Low and behold I managed to get it viewable. I had thought that I could not get a higher resolution, but I selected 1280 x 1024 to see if it would take and it did. I was able to get in and see the admin button now so I could select it. Thanks for your input though!

If this had not worked, then this is what I was talking about.

I was wondering if there was a way to resize this to make it viewable? I tried all the resize options on the menu bar.

I used to use windows up until a few hours ago, and on windows my maximum screen resolution was 1600x1200 and that's what I used. I liked to be able to display a lot on the screen at one time. On linux (i'm running kubuntu btw) my max resolution is 1280x1024 which for me is really small. I really don't know anything about linux so could you explain this really simply?? thanks!!!
