    can't get into windows

after I installed Debian, I restarted the computer.

I was a screen to choose which system to run. I chose windows to make sure it still worked.

the first time, windows worked fine.

then, I restarted again. I went into debian.

After I wait a certain amount of timeon the screen to select the system, it will automatically go into Debian. Every time I reboot, this amount of time is decreased.

Now, I am to the point where the screen flashes past so fast that I can hardly see what it says, let alone choose Windows.

EDIT: nevermind. It only decreased when I used the shutdown command with with the -r parameter. I used the -h parameter instead of -r and it worked perfectly.

Depending on which bootloader you used, you can change the amount of time it takes to allow you to choose your OS, as well as change what the default is. Are you using LILO or GRUB?

GRUB I think. whatever Debian uses by default.

ANYWAY, I edited my post above. I fixedthe problem.

A very strange issue, this only happening with the -r parameter.
