    Error with cd drive

    Well im trying to get some music up and stuff i got xmms which i hope is good and stuff im still trying to figure it out and stuff. But i went under my home and stuff and i clicked the cd icon a error poped up saying "Protocol not supported audiocd" what do i do to fix this ? remember this is my 2nd day using Debian so im new to this lol.

    what exactly are you trying to do? Do you have a music cd you are trying to play, or do you have a cd with mp3 saved on it?

    well i have both, but i jsut stuck in a normal cd and it didnt play so i went under home and had seen the icon for the cd and i clicked it and it gave me that error.

    you actually don't/can't mount audio cds. Just open whatever program you are going to use to play cds (xmms, gnome/kde cd player, etc...) and play it

    in xmms I think it is play directory--->and choose /media/cdrom0 (or that 0 could be 1, 2, etc... depending on how many cd drives you have).
