    SUDO help

I cannot get my user account to have SUDO rights!!!!
I know it has to be something so foolishly easy, but I cannot find a refernce to activating SUDO rights.

I have enabled gnome to grant [I]root[I] permission to log in so that I can install programs and run Apt-get, etc. I have attempted to use the Users and Groups app to add my username to the SUDO group, and it shows there, but no SUDO rights

Hi, vidd... here's a sudo howto that's pretty easy to follow:

    http://www.wlug.org.nz/SudoHowto

Also, be sure to check out the man page at: man sudo
