Accessing Web based e-mail
Is there any e-mail viewer that can be set up to send and recive e-mail with a hotmail account?
If there is, plase let me know what program, and what plugins, and any configurations needed.
As an FYI, when i installed debian, i made no configurations to the e-mail system, so I know that I will have to start from scratch with setting up e-mail service.

I use web-based email only because I like to reinstall and play with different OSs.
This way I don't have to set up anything, just go to Gmai from the Google homepage, put in my username and password, voila I can access my email.
Another advantage to this is that you can store config files there.
For instance, I just finished getting my fstab the way I like it, so I emailed it to myself.
But you might be thinking about Thunderbird, there is a tutorial in the tutorials section on how to use Thunderbird with web-based email. How to know if you are a geek.
when you respond to "get a life!" with "what's the URL?"

Last time I tried a mail viewer with (free) hotmail the server informed me that I would have to update my accout to their premium service to continue. I`m not sure if this is still the case, but then I also prefer having a web-based mail account for the same reasons as budman.

g-mail and pop access
I would LOVE to use my g-mail address with Mozilla, but the POP access won't work...no matter how I try it. I've tried with outlook express on my windows machine, netscape mail under Solaris and Mozilla under Debian...all to no avail. The setup instructions on g-mail don't match what I see for the Mozilla client...so I'm not sure what is wrong. Send/Receive says connected, but no new messages. There are over 300 new messages. What is the trick?
