Failed to start X server (your grafical Interface)
fatal server error(cannot open log file /var/log/Xorg.0.log )

I wrote in terminal:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

debconf: DbDriver “config”: couldn’t open /var/cache/deconf/config.dat

was this a clean install, upgrade, or modification?

If it was a clean install, I would validate the media (cd's) and reinstall, making sure that you select the "Desktop" in the additional hardware section.

If it was an upgrade or modification, i would either save your data and reinstall fresh, or run apt-get to reinstall xserver.
