Composite extension not found
You must use XOrg ≥ 6.8 for translucency and shadows to work.
Additionally, you need to add a new section to your X config file:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection

Window Behavior
I don't think is super karamba!!!
That error message is cause by KDE. Go to control center, Window Behavior, Traslucency tab (the last), and unselect the main option.
You should configure your X server correctly to have traslucency windows... they are very, very very cool!!! Very impressioning!
However it's impossible to use them without hardware acceleration
When using Windows, have you ever told "Ehi... do your business?"
