    Question Soundblaster Problems

I can't seem to get my Audigy2 soundblaster card to work in Debian.
    1) It works fine when I boot to my Koppix CD so I know it works in Linux
    2) I have alsa loaded and when I try to configure I get sound card not supported.
    3) I have done apt-get update and assume I have the latest verison of Debian.

What is the command to check my verison of Debian?
What can I do to get my soundblaster card to work? If the verison is upto date then what can I do to get the latest verison of ALSA?

    thanks Elong

Not sure from what you posted, but have you run the following as root, yet?

    alsaconf
    alsamixer
    alsactl store

No point in it at all, but I didn't know you had run any of it. That's why I asked.
