    LAMP advice

    Hi!

A am a newbie when it comes to debian linux.

    I want to install LAMP.

Searching google for this I have found three sites which claims to do the job. They are,

    (1) http://www.ctunion.com/node/22

    (2) http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/dre...cles/lamp.html

    (3) http://dotdeb.org/home

Now I need advice. I have the following questions.

    (1) seems very simple, too simple. Does it reaaly work?

    (2) is the most complicated of them all, do you really have to all this?

    (3) is also simple, from what I understand you put the two magic lines in sources.list then do apt-get update. Is this all? Can you trust the sources and binaries in the mirrors; are they officially sponsered?

Is there better sites that also help out with installing LAMP?

This tutorial is Debian 3.1 specific and pretty easy to follow..

LAMP is not a difficult setup you should be able to knock it out pretty easily with a decent tutorial.
