installing nvidia on debian?
Hello (hope this is the right board for this!)
I'm installing nvidia drivers on debian, using the debian drivers. However something strange is happerning, when the install starts it tells me that /proc/version does not exist so it can't determine my kernel version. It then drops out of the install.
I've checked in /proc and no files exist their at all. I should add that I'm installing from NFS, to a driveless custom board. I'm using a custom build(?) of debian from the board provider.
Can anyone advise how I can build/get the files for proc/version?
thankyou in advance

This has really helped me:
