    Newbie help

    I decided to create this forum, because I, a newbie, have just installed Kubuntu, before doing this, I have almost no knowledge of how to work linux, I do get some of the basics, sort of. I know there is a Program called Wine, which is a windows Emulator, I also know of amarok. But my problem, is getting them installed on linux, and I need to be able to play MP3's.

    Please, I am very very slow, so I kinda need a step-by-step answer. Which would be helpful for other people such as I. Thankyou.

    Also, if people are wondering why I put on Kubuntu, it is because it was the only free OS I could get, and my friend said it was great

    pleas forgive me but i'm just lerning english

    the program called xmms can play mp3's its a winamp clone

    use kde kpackage to install or apt
    apt-get install xmms

    have fun!
