    help install X server.

    Hi there,
I tried installing Debian 3.1 on a machine whose mainboard is intel 915GAG but the problem is that it doesn't have a video driver for this particular mainboard. So the X server system is not available and there is no GUI. What am i supposed to do?. Where would i get the drivers for this particular mainboard and how to go about installing it?. Please help.

when configuring x you could try the generic vesa driver. that has worked for me many times.

    dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

    or something like that
