    Unhappy CD ripping still slow even after DMA is on

    Hiya before i turned DMA off cds were ripping at 2x now with it on they r goin only at 5!?!?? taking 15 mins to rip a cds? im running ubuntu 5.10...can ne one help please ?> : thanks guys

    If you are using grip try disabling paranoia and all of the repair options. That should speed up the cd > wav side of things. The reencode will most likely still be slow.
