Unhappy After ripping a CD in Ubuntu idle icon

Yes, I finished ripping a CD and after that sound juicer asked me to close or eject. I closed and then proceeded to eject the CD and was able to do it... The stupid icon remained idle on my desktop and not even umounting it (it says it is not mounted), ejecting it (icon stays...) I can't get rid of it. I tried umount from the CLI, eject from the CLI and no dice... I also tried killall nautilus and restarted nautilus but... No luck...

I was adviced to restart my box at ubuntu forums but I am quite sure that's not the right way of solving this problem. Anyone had solved this or worked around it?

DISCLAIMER: I googled the question that I am posting on this forum to the best of my abilities. I also looked at at least two different linux websites for this matter. I afirm that I did the very best to solve this problem by myself before posting. If by any chance another set of strings produces the answer to my question I apologize in advance.

Oh, I've run into that with Ubuntu before. Rebooting works, but is not ideal.

Generally, I have fixed this by ending the session, logging into console as root, and unmounting the drive.

You can also add a -f to force it to unmount if it won't go away.
