Just wanted to say a big thankyou to this forum for helping me through my intro to linux, i have now settled with UBUNTU as i have found this ideal for a newbee, so much so that my wifi wireless card on my p4 advent laptop worked first time which after reading some experiences on here surprised me!!

what i did was buy a wifi card off of Ebay for just £10 "buy it now" it is a MSI cardbus cb54g2 using the RA2500 chipset, this works with linux "out of the box" i have no ties with the company that sells them but it came from www.faculty-x.net with no need for the ndiswrapper, the only problem i had to get it working was i had to be online (using a Lan cable) otherwise the card wouldnt activate. now working like a dream and havent looked back, just wanted to share my joy with you all colin.
