Debian install KDE e2fsprogs error
Hi there,
Very new to Linux so please forgive any ignorance on my part.
I've installed Debian basic install and it boots to the text prompt. So I think okay I need to install some kind of GUI and as I've heard of KDE I opt to install that. I run:
apt-get install get kde
after choosing yes to install I immediately get the error message:
E: This installation run will require temporarily removing the essential package e2fsprogs due to a conflicts/pre-depends loop. This is often bad, but if you're ally to do it, activate the APT::Force-LoopBreak Option
E:Internal Error, could not early remove e2fsprogs
I've tried googling the error but get alot of unhelpful pages, I thought that upgrading the kernel would help but this brings exactly the same error. Cann anyone help me? I'd much rather solve this problem than just use a version with boots straight to GUI.
Thanks in advance for any help.
