uninstall GRUB before uninstall Debian...
hello all,
I installed Debian Linux on my PC yesterday to find that I was pleasantly surprised. lets just say I don't like Linux because I find it inefficient for anyone running less than 128MB RAM. but instead of pointing out inconsistencies of Linux on a Linux forum, I will jump directly to my question to try to avoid flames from Windows bashers.
when I was installing Debian it asked me if I wanted to use Grub boot loader for Windows XP (I have a dual boot set up). I chose to use it. it said something about writing to the MBR. yesterday I deleted the Debian partition and found that when I restarted my PC it continued to load GRUB, which then failed resulting in an error (so I couldn't boot any OS). so now I have installed Debian again, hoping that I can somehow uninstall the GRUB boot loader and undo the changes it made to the Master Boot Record.
can someone tell me how I can uninstall GRUB from the Debian command line? and when I uninstall it will it undo changes made to the MBR?
help here would be greatly appreciated! thank you in advance!

nevermind
nevermind, did some googling. sorry about the un-necessary post, will remember to search next time I ask what is probably a common question like this
. stuck in the Windows XP disk, loaded the recovery console, and entered "fixmbr". restarted and all is fine again, computer boots into Windows
.
