Screen Resolution / Wireless NIC / Dist upgrade
I am serious newbie but am siked to get away from windows and I need some help.
1 - How do i adjust my screen resolution I only have the option of running it 800x600. I tried running xf86confgi but its not installed.
2 - How do I get my wireless nic installed. I am running a IBM thinkpad t42 with an Intel Pro Wireless 2200 BG card onboard.
3 - How do I identify what dist I am using? I ran updates but there are none. I installed sarge3.1 - how can I upgrade this thing.

OK I fixed the resolution and upgraded my dist.
i want to use my wireless card and it seems that I need to upgrade my Kernel - any good How To's on specifically upgrading to 2.6.8?

just went to etch and ran
I am running etch with kde3.5
having permission issues running sudo grep to edit sources.list but I put another post out there with the error.
