    Help Mouse not responding right

    I configured xfree86 to the point where startx gets me to a new screen, and the arrow moves when I move the mouse, but it just jumps right back to the top left corner very fast. How else can I get control of the mouse?

    change it back? you mean the config file? but whenever I change any of the mouse settings it either fails to start at all (no screens found) or the mouse doesn't respond at all . . . what else would I change?
