    Desktop Icon for Mounted Drives

    Hello folks,

I am running Debain testing and I have a couple of automounted drives that create desktop icons for my user account. I don't like desktop clutter and would like to get rid of the icons without unmounting the drives. how do I get rid of the icons for good and keep the mounted drives??

    TIA

In your KDE Control Center, go to Desktop -> Behavior (also accessible by right-clicking on the desktop and picking "Configure Desktop..."). There's a tab for device icons, where you can pick which icons you want shown or hidden.
Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!

In your menu go to System Tools>>Configuration Editor
In the Configuration Editor go to Apps>>nautilus>>desktop and uncheck what you don't want.
