    Opening Local Html Pages

    Hello again,

I have downloaded some HTML pages to my computer(They are supose to contain a tutorial) and every time I open them all I get is a blank page. I am certain that it does have context in the HTML pages but for some reason everytime I open it all I get is nothing .

    Any help appreciated

Well the first thing you could do is simply open the file in a text editor and see if it has content there and see if it actualy contains the document you thought you saved..

If it doesn't then try saving again..
If it does then it probly has javascript or some coding that checks what the header/refer address is and then blanks the page out.

    Regards

How did you download the page?

You saved it in Firefox? (File->Save Page As)
    You downloaded it with wget?

With those 2 methods I never had issues.

Ok problem has been successfully solved thanks. I opened it with Epiphany Web Browser and it worked. Firefox did not work for some reason, it would be interesting to know why it didn't work(if someone knows), but if no one knows that's ok... I'll just live with it .

    Thanks Again

Which version of firefox are you using? If it is not 1.5.3 then you really ought to upgrade, there is a nifty instruction here which I have just used (thanks to daacosta on this forum)
