My initrd loads the modules for my sata raid card which contains the raid array where my debian install is located. BUT how can the computer get to the menu.lst of OS's if it can't see anything on my drive until my initrd has run?

I'm pretty much trying to copy my filesystem from an ide disk to my sata raid, and then boot from that sata raid.

Any help is totally appreciated.
