    Exclamation Adobe Reader 7

    Hi,

I am using Debian Etch and installed Adobe Reader 7.0. When I try to run the application, it crashes after the splash screen is displayed without showing any error message. When I try to view the PDF file from Firefox (with the browser plugin), I get the following message:

Could not launch Adobe Reader 7.0. Please make sure it exists in PATH variable in the environment. If the problem persists, please reinstall the application.

I tried adding the directory where the application is installed to the PATH variable, but the problem persists. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks for your time.

How did you install Acrobat Reader 7? Did you use the package in Christian Marillat's repository?

Nope. I downloaded the official archive off Adobe's site. I'll take a look at the link you gave me and tell you how it goes. Thanks!
