    Where is my wlan?

I do a iwconfig and it finds a wireless lan within range, but not mine. Does anyone have a how to to configure my card. Running Etch 2.6.16 on a thinkpad T42. I also want to configure it with WPA. I did set up the wpa_supplicant.conf file with ssid and WPA passphrase. but ever since then I cannot see my network.

    Thanks,

I'm sure you can find a good example here on how to configure (step by step) wireless on an IBM Thinkpad T42 :
