    Computer Wont autimatically Shut Down

    Im Using Kanotix that install to my Hard disk about a few months ago...Starting Yesterday, When i'm Shutting Down The Computer, the process runs well till stopping all device, then Lastly Power Down....but, it does not turn off my PC automatically as always it does, anybody's know why ? thanks

    Do you get any kind of error messages? Please give more details...

    Nope, it does not give any error message, it's ends up till "Power Down" , after that i must turn off computer/pc switch manually.....It does not off automatically..

    What version of the kernel is you use?
    Have you a ATX power suply house?
    Do you use custom kernel?
    Your kernel contain ACPI?

    Please give more info to us and forgive me , my english is very wrong.

    im using kernel 2.6.16.16 and my pc do have atx Power supply...
    Recently it's working find, only a few day ago it just happen....

    Did you try on an another operating system.
    Live Linuxes , windows , anything else?

    Yes, may pc have two operating system, Windows Xp Pro and Kanotix, When im booting to Win Xp, it goes find when im shutting down the computer, it does turn off automatically, but When im booting to Kanotix, It cannot turn off automatically, it just stop at "POwer Down"....
    Maybe, worst come to worst, i'll reinstall back the whole Kanotix things... , I dont know where i'm doing wrong, that's the main problem, worried that it will happen again after im doing back the reinstalling...

    Run
    Code:
    shutdown -h now > shutdown.log
    in order to log all messages during shutdown. Paste last 5-10 lines here to analyze.

    Yes at last......It goes find now........

    Im receiving mesage ask me that to boot the system from CD and do fschk.FS /dev/Where im installing the system..(hdc1)

    after that, im just type "shutdown -h"
    Yes, it shutting down and power off automatically..and, after that i reboot and do the turn off nomally....and also it goes find....
