    Question How to install video card for X window in debian linux

    I am a beginer i debian linux . It's the first time i install debian linux. Well that is not a problem but when i reach to choose the displai adapter from the list(for Xwindow)the default list does not contain my video card(Intel) and for that i can not use desktop mode or i can not initialize X window . What can i do. Please help me. Thanks

    Give more details please, If Debian is ansdtalled and you can boot into it can you please type
    Code:
    lspci
    and pick out the details of your video card and let us know
    free/libre/open software for the people by the people

    Didn't you say your video card was an onboard intel graphic chip?

    As I adviced you in the other thread, just run
    Code:
    dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86
    and choose the "i810" driver. You should be good after that.
