    Cool cdrom problem

    hi,
i installed sarge with kernel 2.4, then i install 2.6.8 by using apt. Then i get /sbin/init cannot open /dev/console. I search a bit and found that i have to change /dev/hda's to sda. Then i did changes and 2.6.8 loaded. Everything is fine but now , i cant mount my cdroms.
    here my fs tab
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information.
    #
    # <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
    proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
    /dev/sdb1 / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
    /dev/sdb6 none swap sw 0 0
    /dev/hdb /media/cdrom0 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
    /dev/hda /media/cdrom1 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0
    /dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto 0 0
    /dev/sdb5 /media/storage1 ntfs user,fmask=0111,dmask=0000 0 0
    /dev/sda1 /media/storage2 ntfs user,fmask=0111,dmask=0000 0 0
    /dev/sda5 /media/storage3 ntfs user,fmask=0111,dmask=0000 0 0
    /dev/sda6 /media/storage4 ext3 user,fmask=0111,dmask=0000 0 0

    and ls /dev results

These are my harddrives , but i could not found cdroms. And also there are not hda or hdb for cds. I load ubuntu live and look for device names for cdroms. It gives sdc1 (or scd1 not remember). I tried this but not work also there no entry for sdc1 in /dev

    What is the problem...

In my /etc/fstab, this is the line for the cdrom:

    /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 defaults,noexec,noauto,unhide,users,ro 0 0

Are you sure that's all you have in /dev? Because I have at least twice as many files in there, including cdrom and 'cdrom', 'cdrw' and 'dvd'.
