    X server (GUI) problem

    I was upadting and upgrading my apt-get

    and i had to download aprox 200 mb

    when this finished i had to answer some questions about my length of screen and video card

    BY MISTAKE i answered wrong and entered a video card that doesn't correspond my computer and the monitor isn't found the GUI isn't loaded i can't enter gui


    PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME?

    If you can get to a console (which I assume you can), try this:
    Code:
    dpkg reconfigure x-window-system
    I think x-window-system is the package name; I haven't used Debian on my main machine for a while now, so feel free to correct me...

    If you're not using Debian's stable branch (and thus have X.org instead of XFree86), you probably want to dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg.
    Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!
