Did you try typing startx at the prompt after logging in?

    just download their dvds,
youll have all your 14 cds fit onto 2 dvds

really just need the 1st dvd, but having 2nd dvd doesnt hurt either

i think for your xfree86/xorg setup its not really hard, you just use basic settings

    auto for mouse
    104 key for keyboard
if you dont know your vid card then vesa will work fine
    for monitor choose monitor
for the vertical(or horizontal i forget, screen after monitor size) sync i think, its safest to choose option 2 50-100 or whatever if you dont know your sync

the only thing you gotta worry about is how to setup your display settings:
choose 432 for 1024x768 default, and 800x600 and 640x480 as default modes

etc, thats really about it all there is
also gotta choose vid memory, if you dont know vid memory size or have share ram vid memory then its safest to choose 1 meg

and ya it never hurts just pressing enter it will just use default options then
